As a professional musician for over 35 years, Donnie Long is an accomplished pianist, vocalist, producer and songwriter, Donnie is continuing to make his mark on the music industry. Donnie has written commercials, appeared in various commercials and television programs. He is also one of the 184 featured Blues artists in a poster, “Blues at the Cool Spot” taken during Blues Day Atlanta (Oct 2000). The poster was displayed at the GA Music Hall of Fame in Macon, GA. He opened for Blues greats like BB King and ZZ Hill, and some well known dignitaries.
His genres of expertise range from gospel, blues, pop, to classic soul. You may have seen him perform at Bahama Breeze, Cajun Crab House, Fletcher’s @ South DeKalb Mall, Nancy’s Chicago Style Pizza, Peso’s Mexican Cantina, Sage Woodfire Grill or other venues that will be announced as they become available.
Donnie Long plays at nursing homes, and performs at a variety of special events, including anniversary and birthday celebrations, cookouts, funerals, weddings, etc. Other special events have included a past performance at a Joe Pace workshop in Ft. Walton Beach, FL.
Furthermore, he has played for many churches, including churches located in Waco, Mart, and Texas City, Texas; Virginia Beach, Virginia; and Metro Atlanta, Georgia. He has served as the Minister of Music at a few churches over the years.
